Jonathan Okseniuk

Jonathan Okseniuk’s profound passion for classical music and conducting began before he could take his first steps. His lasting passion for music was sparked when, at just 19 months old, he first heard an orchestra perform live. He was the first performer to win first prizes in two consecutive national competitions organised by the Music Teachers National Association: in the junior category in 2020 and the senior category in 2021. He won numerous prizes, including awards in the Junior Division of the 2022 Sphinx Competition and at the Phoenix Youth Symphony Competition. He also received the National Federation of Music Clubs Stillman Kelley Award and was recognised at the Concours de Mirecourt.

He was accepted into the Curtis Institute of Music in 2023 and is studying under Midori Goto. Over the past fourteen years, he has been a student of Jing Zeng. He has also worked with distinguished teachers including Jan Sloman, Miriam Fried, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Margaret Batjer, Peter Oundjian, and William van der Sloot. Since 2024, Jonathan has worked closely with Allegro Music Consultants.
