Maya Wichert

Maya Wichert was admitted at the age of nine as a junior student at the University of Music and Theatre Munich, where she studied with professors Sonja Korkeala and Lena Neudauer. She continues her studies with Professor Krzysztof Węgrzyn at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.

She has appeared as a soloist with a number of distinguished orchestras including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, and the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, and has performed at festivals such as Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Europäische Wochen Passau.

She has won prizes at several international violin competitions, and her distinctions include First Prize and two special prizes at the Odesa International Violin Competition, and the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) Discovery Award.
